Lip Blush

Lip Blush

Enhance your natural lip colour & shape by creating the illusion of volume and fullness with colour. This process adds a youthful appearance to the lips with minimal pain, easy healing and no down time.

This treatment has become increasingly popular as people are beginning to opt for a more natural look by trading in their fillers for lip enhancements. For clients looking to reduce the signs of ageing, contouring options restore your natural lip shape, taking years off of your face.

The Appointment

You’ll have a consultation where we’ll discuss exactly what you’re looking for, going over lip shapes and selecting the right colour for you. We do a pre drawing and take pictures before and after so you can see the amazing differences.

There is a wide variety of colours to pick from so if you are looking for a brighter lip tint or more natural tones this treatment can provide you with a fresh look that still looks natural.

How long is the appointment?

This treatment can take up to 4 hours. This includes a consultation and numbing.

How long will it last?

This is all depends on the type of treatment you desire and your lifestyle. Lip blush can last anywhere from 1-3 years. However, we would recommend you get a colour boost every 12-15 months as you may experience some fading.

Does it hurt?

Lip blushing can range from a 2-5 on a pain scale out of 10 everyone has a different pain tolerance. We offer numbing throughout the procedure for your comfort.

How long does it take to heal?

You will experience 1-2 days of a bold and bright lip, followed by 2-3 days of chapped lips and the tattoo will peel away (like a regular tattoo). Aftercare cream is provided which helps with the healing process.
Outward healing is done after this stage, but lips continue to change and adjust in colour for the next few weeks. At one month, all colour is balanced and the lips are fully healed. A colour touch up is them provided 4-12 weeks after the first treatment, this is included in the price.

Can I wear Lipstick

Yes, you can apply any lipstick or gloss to the lips after they are healed.

What if I get cold sores?

Cold sores are no problem, you will just need to contact your doctor and get a prescription of aciclovir (antiviral) to be taken 3 days prior and 3 days post lips. Or Zovirax ointment that can be obtained from a chemist. Use the preparation 1-week prior and 1-week after your enhancement 5 times a day to reduce the incidence of outbreak by 50%

If for some reason you still do get a cold sore, with proper care, your lip colour retention will not be affected. Please use a topical and continue using the prescription. You will need to repeat the prescription at touch up and move it out 2 weeks for proper healing time.
Micro-pigmentation does not cause cold sores, however if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the nervous system and can be aroused by the infusion process.
